City Amenities and Activities
- Community Park - With basketball courts, baseball diamonds, a disc golf course, picnic shelters, a historic log cabin, a playground, open space, and permanent restrooms, Community Park is the largest park in Monroe and hosts events such as Movies in the Park and Light Up The Sky.
- Crossings Park - Crossings Park is located near the City's largest subdivision. It has 9 acres of field space, a walking trail, permanent restrooms and a playground with accessibility options for those with disabilities.
- Veterans Memorial - Featuring a mural by a local artist, a paver path engraved with names of those being remembered for their service, and a large bronze eagle, Veterans Memorial anchors the City's downtown entrance and provides an opportunity to reflect on those that have served.
- Monroe Lending Library - The Monroe Lending Library is a grassroots effort to bring library services to Monroe. The City converted a former dialysis building into a library facility that also features community meeting rooms and technology centers for residents.

- Fire and Spice - The City's Fire Department hosts an annual chili competition between fire departments. Residents and businesses are welcome to attend and enjoy the friendly competition.
- Light up the Sky (4th of July) - The Lions Club organizes the City's annual Light Up The Sky event at Community Park. With games, food, and entertainment, it's a day of fun for the entire family.
