The City of Monroe's economic development efforts are moving forward with the adoption of the 2023 - 2026 Economic Development Strategic Plan.  This document outlines the core values and focus areas that will guide future decisions, policies, and actions by City Council and the Monroe Area Community Improvement Corporation.  

The Economic Development Strategic Plan prioritizes partnerships, active engagement and appropriate risk levels, and data-driven decision-making to create development opportunities that reflect goals of Monroe's diverse community.  This plan builds upon City Council's strategic priorities of Well-managed Services and Infrastructure, Strategic Growth and Development, Communication and Interpersonal Connections, and Parks and Connectivity.
